:popcorn You dont have to take the advice here. Basically your tie rods and cvc joints will wear out faster.

Plan B would be to go to taller rims and tires. :rocker

When the advice makes sense I take it.

I could probably get away with 1.5 to 2 inches and then also roll the fenders and go taller tires. Might get me over 3 inches.

or maybe just changing out the seat and doming the roof will be enough.

sure I could just use the tracker but I get 10mpg better with the metro.

Remember 2 inches of taller tire is 1 inch of increased ground clearance.

The tracker/Samari had a 1.3 engine, I bet the geo engine would work too consider the low gearing. At the least the swift engine.

If you're just trying to make it easier to get in, just get a taller seat and when you raise the roof be sure to raise the door opening too or you will bang your head everytime you try to get in. Or get a convertible add your taller seat and leave the top down, but then I don't think you can get your legs under the steering wheel without adding some kind of tilt wheel or swing design to swing it to the middle and back. No I don't think you could drive it taller seats. Either way you go you will need another steering column. All I can say is good luck, this is beyond me.

If you bag it, you can bring the car up to meet your ass when you get in, then you could lower it way down on the freeway for improved mpg. Bags are cool anyway.

the column is a real dinger. lower engine trans and suspension would not be that difficult for my skill and resource access but the column and the control arm for the rear would be tough ones.
Nice to know where the 'gators are hiding before you jump in the ol' swimmin' hole!!

When did I EVER in my life say owning an electric car does not make good financial sense?

62mpg is my yearly average NO DELIVERY.

Delivering I get 39mpg the tracker gets 26mpg (again delivering)

"Nice to know where the 'gators are hiding before you jump in the ol' swimmin' hole!! "

your damned right. hence why I asked first :-)

Iv had my metro for about 3 yrs now and love it but have moved to the country and drive on dirt roads to get home, want to give it enough lift to drive better but still need high way driving. I read that if i use "95+" springs it would give a 2 inch lift. Is that off the 95 metro sedan? Or what im confused on what is ment by the 95+. Thanks

95+ is just short for 95 to 2001. Basically any Metro built after 1995.
