Bolt and nut work best and they're easier to get apart if you ever have to take it apart again. That's what I did to mine.

Ascensions if you don't have the tap you may be able to borrow one from a friend or from like Autozone. They will loan tools for you to use.

Also, Harbor Freight tools has some inexpensive tap and die sets you can buy..... 20$ to $40 seems to me. I use mine quite often, a good tool to have around.

I have several of those manifolds laying around I will try and check in a few. I have several of those bolts and springs around too. See what I can find

Well, found a spare one laying around. 14 mm bolt that you ordered new. The threads are metric 10- 1.25. You run a 10-1.25 through there and then a die on your old bolt(unless you broke the old bolt) Then that bolt will thread in there like butter. I will post a picture soon.

Caution do not go in all the way with the tap as you see the bolt narrows at the end
Also you need a little lub when you do this, a little 3/1 oil or just some WD 40 works okay. Get everything straight as you start.... best of luck.

I don't remember if the set up on my 96 is different than my 95 but I recently rounded off a bolt (one of the 2 longest ones) trying to take off the exhaust manifold off my 95-I cut off the head off the bolt and was able to remove the manifold, I then turned the bolt out-since the exhaust manifold had no threads (just a hole for the bolt to go through) I was able to buy a new bolt at the hardware store that screwed in to the head-there was no spring. I did take off the manifold of my 96 once and remember a spring however I can't remember if the manifold was threaded-by the way I love strippers

So what I want to know is, which one do you call Babe?

Wait, you said axe, not axe and an ox. That would be an entirely different type of club act, probably in Mexico. Nevermind. :D
