You shouldn't drive around with your high beams. I would start by replacing the light with the bad low beam. If it fixes the high beam then you can decide whether to replace the other side. If it doesn't fix anything, then you have a wiring problem. Not sure if the low/hi beams have separate fuses. These cars tend to burn out a connection in the junction box under the dash that will kill the low beams. But if you use your high beams a lot I suppose it might burn out that connection also. |

I would jiggle the switch and see if you get flickering. Also check ground wires |

Also clean the electrical connectors by the headlights |

In addition to checking your grounds and headlight connectors, I would look under the dash board for the junction box and check if one of the pins looks burnt. You'll see the burnt pin through the plastic connector. Google "geometroforum headlight stopped working" so you can find some pics of what to look for. It's a common problem. It happened on my 95 & 2000 metros. |

I have checked the connectors and did not see the same issue . I again disconnected each connector trying to see the faulty burnt connectors, repeatedly only to find nothing wrong with them .my corner lights are both working |

Wow, that is a very clean fuse block. Count yourself lucky. There is a connector somewhere around the steering column that comes from the headlight switch that sometimes has a burnt connector. |

Did you every pull the fuses and verify they aren't burnt out? |

Another problem can lie in the switch in the base of the light stalk, but that is usually tied to either the highs or lows working or not, but not one side at a time. Can't hurt to spray contact cleaner in the base of the stalk and work the lever forward and aft between the normal and bright positions. |

Just looked at my car. If you look at you picture of your fuse box, you will note at the bottom right there is a large cable bundle wrapped in black tape. That bundle goes up to the switch on the steering wheel. A few inches from the fuse box that black bundle will go to a white connector. Look at the white conector for discoloration (tan or brown color). The pin that burns out has a red wire with white stripe. |

OK It is confimed all the my connectors are fine and this is not the Typical metro burning connector issue (as suspected) I was able to barrow a friends' Metro beams and they both light up. So there could be 2 potential problems. 1 ) either there is some problem with my head light's wiring so it blows up the lights in a few days (short/etc) 2) More likely this is a problem with the head lights, as i bought them from Rock Auto for mere 5 $ a piece, interestingly the first pair that they sent me was Bad and did not work at all so i called them and they sent me another pair that only worked for a few days . Is it possible that those lights were old stock and bad quality, Brand is "Wagner" i have received 4 , first 2 did not work at all and other 2 died in 2-4 days or rarely being used. IF this is a wiring issue what should i fix/troubleshoot.. i have already found all the connectors are good and fuse issue either... |
