i never had any trouble finding axles for the mk3 8 valve swifts but i have learned a few lessons with the gt axles.. yep, you can't beat those old gear drive starters. it's a wonderful thing to find a new shiny one.

Runs real good boy 2500 rpm at 60 is awesome! It don't like taking off on hills. But what can you expect out of a 3:52 gear. |

Finally got to work work on silver. I installed new ac compressor, evaporator coil, expansion valve, all new orings, new rebuilt hoses and complete flushed system. Also new receiver drier, new oil and a good vacuuming down to -30" . Now if it holds till next Sunday! I will fill it up with good old R12! Now going to have to wait on 40 degree vent temps! WooHoo! |

Well I got 37.5 mpg from my 1.3 swift with trailer in tow with air on round trip to Geoplooza and back. Not to bad running 70 most of the time. I went 1495.7 miles it used 39.8 gallon. With lots of down to 3rd and 4th gear changes with my 3:52 geared trans. I will have a 3:79 in it for the next meet in Fla for the spring I hope and see if I have a improvement in my mpg towing a trailer! Man I love my trailer! |
