i never had any trouble finding axles for the mk3 8 valve swifts but i have learned a few lessons with the gt axles..

yep, you can't beat those old gear drive starters. it's a wonderful thing to find a new shiny one. ;)

I spun it over oil pressure came right up. Put coil wire on and fired up on first turn. I will have to set Timing in the morning!

I'll have to look closer at my gear reduction starter...I don't recall it looking anything like that!

Runs real good boy 2500 rpm at 60 is awesome! It don't like taking off on hills. But what can you expect out of a 3:52 gear.

Finally got to work work on silver. I installed new ac compressor, evaporator coil, expansion valve, all new orings, new rebuilt hoses and complete flushed system. Also new receiver drier, new oil and a good vacuuming down to -30" . Now if it holds till next Sunday! I will fill it up with good old R12! Now going to have to wait on 40 degree vent temps! WooHoo!

Well I got 37.5 mpg from my 1.3 swift with trailer in tow with air on round trip to Geoplooza and back. Not to bad running 70 most of the time. I went 1495.7 miles it used 39.8 gallon. With lots of down to 3rd and 4th gear changes with my 3:52 geared trans. I will have a 3:79 in it for the next meet in Fla for the spring I hope and see if I have a improvement in my mpg towing a trailer! Man I love my trailer!
