ok so i have a 1997 hatch i had gen 1 headlights![]() i ended up swapping them out for the 2nd gen ones so right off the bat the plugs had to change, that got taken care of my HI/LOW both worked and switched i believe it was an h4 - 9007 swap then i wanted HID lights i had to rewire then also since for some reason they decided to share a common power and switch the ground as signal for HI/LOW. i managed to get that to work. the only thing is i think i might be back feeding power because when i have my lows on (HIDs) my interior light has a slight glow and my aux cable gets engine wine. if i switch them to HI (Non HID) no more interior light glow and no more Aux static. so i was looking for some help/ opinions should i wire them to an external relay? or tough luck and pay the price for bright lights? |

Relays for your headlights are just a good idea anyway. |

I can see a set of these being used as a projector retrofit with the smooth outer lenses.

I got my pair from the wrecker for $20, and then bought supplies to restored them, total price was about $40. And I've also restored 3 other vehicles with the same supplies. Supplies included 600grit, and 1000grit sand paper, and uv resistant clear coat. How much did it cost to have hids for your car? I've been interested for a while. |
