Are there any electronic service/maintenance techs out there that know what bulb name/number and source for the backlighting illumination bulbs for a 1996 Geo Metro Delco radio-cassette player. I can provide additional information if needed. Thanks in advance for your time. |

Post some pics of which bulb your talking about. If it's the one I'm thinking of, a couple of different places have them. But I know for sure that Mouser carries them; I ordered a bunch of them not too long ago. |

![]() Pic of one bulb removed. EDIT: for some reason photobucket duplicated the same photo even though I created another shortcut. What is the best/easiest way to post photos? Edited by ranger88den, Mar 4 2015, 11:26 AM.

Pretty sure they are T-1 bulbs Mouser Bulb P/N 560-23 or 560-8111 (IIRC this one is just a little brighter than the other one) And the green filter: 560-39024A There are other color filters (red, blue, yellow) if you want to change it. ![]() BTW The blue washes out a little and is more of a pale blue/white. ![]() All from JKL Components and you can order straight from them, but it is more expensive that way. I have ordered straight from JKL Components on something else and the guys over there are SUPER nice. Because they buy them in bulk, Mouser has them all pretty cheap, but shipping is like $8.00 So It's best to order a bunch of stuff at once. I usually make one large order every couple of months to justify the shipping. Don't order just three. Order a few extra in case you have issues AND most importantly, these are the same bulbs in the accessory switches. (I.E. defrost, rear wiper, etc)A little bit of money for a stock delco unit. Are you sure you don't want to upgrade instead? (This coming from someone who just replaced all 8 on another stock unit! )Let me know if you need anything else! ![]() |
