Wow, this is fantastic!
Thanks. Made that chart/diagram myself. :)
I even re-drew the connector face and re-labeled it.

...I have very peculiar hobbies. :lol

I'm going to give it a whirl and if it still won't work then I'll take you up on the offer
If you can solder, I always recommend soldering and heat shrinking to crimping; but if you can't solder crimping is a step up from twist'n'tape. :shake
Also, make sure you don't shorten the wires too much when you try to repair them.
If you try to repair it, and then I have to repair your repair... it could get difficult. You lose wire length every time. :(

although I would probably travel down to you so I can see more of our wonderful state. I just moved here and my wife and I love seeing what's around!
Well, welcome to the neighborhood! :lol I need to put together another meet sometime, haven't had one in far too long!

See what I was talking about? Red from the factory wiring isn't hot. White with black tracer is switched hot & yellow is constant battery power.
White is constant battery power in the factory harness. It plugs into yellow in the standardized aftermarket adapter.
Yeah, that's what I meant. Very tired when I posted that. I know yellow isn't correct for factory wiring. Point I was trying to make was refer to the FSM, not just guess. I just didn't do a very good job of it. :die :lol

I appreciate everyone's help with this but in the end I had to call in an expert. Luckily I have a good friend who is a savant and he took the time to correct the mess that the previous owner had created. The issue turned out to be the ignition power, not the ground. It looks like said previous owner had plans to swap out the radio but got confused and started cutting wires for whatever reason, then trying to paste it all back together. There was no right speaker, either. Anyways, as you can see from this super high-def photo everything is connected in a more logical manner (and soldered/shrink wrapped no less) and now I have music! Thanks again for the help!
