I was tightening my belt, and broke this sensor :smackface

Does anyone know what it is?

Coolant temp sensor, I think. Kinda important for a happy running engine.

Thanks. That would make sense. It will not start now when it is cold. It must default to thinking it is hot.

From what someone else was saying, it probably defaults to thinking the coolant is 68 deg. Means hard cold starts and pizz poor fuel mileage once it's warmed up.

68 is right

it should start with out it....give it some throttle.
untill the code is set......its gonna think the coolant is 276 iirc. the code doesnt get set untill certain conditions are met.

Not to mock, but I am confused, I know that the car is covered in oil, but if you ignore that it kinda looks like a powder coat finish lol

yes, the cheap powder coat finish.... I have an oil leak somewhere, but the car is really about worn out, so I am just trying to get by with it until I can get something else.

Thanks for helping me identify the sensor. I ordered one online, and should have it tomorrow.
