Van Battery In A Geo Metro?; Battery Swap

I do believe my head gasket blew in my wife's Toyota Previa. I just put a new battery in it. My other Metro has been sitting with a bad fuel pump and no battery since November. I was wondering if the van battery can physically fit into the Metro's battery seat will there be any problems using it?
The van is currently up at the shop and I'll know whether it's done tomorrow, I think it is going to be too much to get fixed and would rather get the Metro going again even though my wife doesn't like driving small cars.

What year is the Previa? Or group number of the battery in it?

A search on older Previa's comes up with a group 34 battery. One also came up with an alternate, a group 25/DT. The 34 is probably too big. The 25 should fit. So should a 24 or a 26.

It is a '95 Previa S/C. I have 2 '93 Metro xfi's. The one that has been sitting has some sort of electrical or fuel relay problem, possibly a bad fuel pump, just wouldn't start one day and then would,t turn over. The Autocraft battery was a year old with a year warranty, put my other metro battery in there and it will turn over, just won't start. It trys to when I pour a little gas in there at the injector.

Then my wife wrecked her volvo 240 in Feb, it was nearly torn in half by a Silverado, so I got the storage van/previa going after it had sat a while, that was $700 to get it going again. She was just afraid to drive the Metro after the wreck.

I would have opted to put the $700 in the Metro...

So now we're down to one fairly good Metro and an 80+ mile aday commute-aint life grand.

Please just call me; "Schultz"

I put the battery from a F250 in my Metro. I start and stop mine many times during a trip. I also use my car to jump any I see that need assistance.
I had to modify the battery box to accept the wider battery.

I have one battery that I swab between my 1975 Chevy 10 (V8) van and my 1991 Geo Metro.

Why? I can only drive one vehicle at a time. :-/ The van has sat for 2 years now (storage) because I could not afford to register/insure/maintain it.

I had an Optima red top battery for 10 years that I swapped between the two.

Actually, I have no idea what the original '91 Geo battery is. :whistle
