found a complete 96-97? 4 door for parts at the wrecker. what do I need to grab from it to do an entire brake swap? hubs, knuckles, calipers, caliper brackets, rotors, drums, etc from that car onto my 91 sprint? it has a sway bar as well, I will take that and the wheels. axle spline the same? I know gti is different.
car is locked, didn't get to look inside. take the trans as well? 5 spd

dammit, I just bought new 12 inch tires :shake maybe use those on my atv trailer :hmm
I have done a 13 to 14 inch swap (gti to t3, vert) but that was many years ago......

Good bye

Take the complete struts, use your springs. The rear brakes are larger diameter than your early car. You need to find coupe drums, the sway bars will fit. Posted ImagePosted Image

got the parts today. front pads are new, but rotors are shot. pulled the studs from the rear. door lamp switches. cd player, and speakers. motor has no oil in it, most likely shot-I didn't check. 4 tires and wheels, 2 of them great shape.
he has 4-14'' wheels on a elantra, might pick those up later.....

Hope you got the sway bars too. There is a thread about what size drill bit to use for the 12mm studs. The tranny should be a 3.8 ratio if you are interested in that, they work pretty nice in the early cars. At least grab the gear off the end of the speedo cable it will be right for the 13" wheels/tires.

Also, a lot of JYs drain all the fluids before they put the cars out.
