Your explanation of the problem is kinda confusing. Could you explain it again.

Are you saying the third brake light is on without the brake being applied?

ok i'll explain it simpler

turn the clearance lights on and my third brake light is dim (without applying brakes ) but when i apply the brakes it brightens up which it should cause its getting the full 12 volts

now when i turn off clearance lights and hit the brakes i get 7 volts too the red and yellow wire which is corrected to rear brake light as clearance lights im not sure why im getting a back feed through red and yellow wire when the clearance lights are off

Remove the trim on the inside across the back. Remove both taillights, it sounds like resistance through a dual filament bulb feeding back. That is caused by either a bad ground or a dropped filament in one of the bulbs. I would look at both brake light bulbs first. Remove them one at a time and see if the problem disappears.

there led brake lights i also did put resistors for signal light too cause there led too

You may need to install diodes to stop the back feed.

what type tho like for amps n voltage? cause its only drawing 7 volts or 7.5 max

Before you start buying stuff why don't you try regular bulbs and see if your problems go away.

problem went awhile so i gotta stop the back feed any clue what diode i would need?

If you are running led lights there is virtually no load, any small diodes from radio shack will work. I use heavy duty "Roadmaster" diodes for a lot of projects. They are available at any rv outlet or e-bay.

what would be a good diode since its only low volts Intel i turn on clearance lights so roughly 7-13 volts not sure how much watts or amps it would be tho think a 2-6 amp diode would be good?

It is actually low amps so those should work fine.

I'd suggest testing with regular bulbs too...
my LEDs haven't caused this problem. But, yes, I'd think its a feedback issue. maybe your resistors are hooked up wrong? like between the common of the bulb and ground, instead of just on the +12v wire of your brake lights. That would make the electricity go looking for an easier path to ground, in this case, your 3rd brake light...

BTW, I use a cheapie LED-compatible flasher instead of the stock one, allowing me to indicate and whatnot without a resistor (wasting power).

i tested with normal bulbs no backfeed i put diodes in just on brake wire and still back feed think i mite need some on the red / yellow wire next

what do u think?

Not enough information, don't care to guess as to what you have or haven't done to be able to suggest anything.
