If you remove one tail light or the other does the feed back go away? I suspect a fixture not grounding well.

Also in this case I dont see diodes doing anything at all. All adding diodes will do is protect from reverse-current.

Are you using LED bulbs in your tail lights? Also you mentioned the problem goes away with normal bulbs?

EDIT::

Reread this thread again. Just to clarify and make sure I understand.

When you have your running lights (clearance lights) off and you depress the brake pedal, you do not get full voltage to your center tail light. And when you DO have your running lights on, the center taillight is dimly lit when it should not be. Correct?

i installed led brake lights in rear

i press brakes with lights off and i get 7.5 volts on the wire (red/yellow) which is for clearance lights so i did what me and my metro told me install normal OEM bulbs and see if the backfeed goes away so i did and i got nothing for back feed

so i reinstalled the led bulbs and tested (red and yellow wire ) again with lights off and pressed brake got the same 7.5 volts so its back feeding through the clearance lights bulbs so if i installed diodes on red and yellow wire which would stop reverse current it should stop it shouldn't it?

I asked a question, it didn't get answered, so yes, I was being a bit of a dick. I can't really comment on if a diode will affect anything without knowing exactly how you have things set up. Mainly those resistors of yours. Are they in series or parallel and on which wire? a wiring diagram, or failing that, a photo or how you rigged it up would be helpful.

Depending on how complex it is for you to experiment with adding in diodes and such, it might be easier for you to just try different combinations until you get it right. If it's easy to remove your resistors, for example, I would try and see if the feedback goes away if they are removed. On the other hand, if it means having to solder and cut things apart, it would be best to get it correct the first time.

For my/our reference, do you have a basic understanding of how electrical circuits work? Resistance, series/parallel, which way to orient a diode, etc? Might save me explaining stuff if you do.

Your 0.5v might be a ground issue. Clean the ground connection...should be a 10mm bolt back there somewhere. You can test it by bypassing it, ie running a wire to a known ground wire on the circuit to bare chassis metal. There's a chance it will solve your other issue. Just don't ground a wire that is supposed to be hot...

there is always google understanding that stuff but i installed diode 100% correctly cause first time i installed it i had no brake lights so i turned it around and bam brake lights and etc but still back feed problem im almost thinking maybe i need to install diodes on the clearance light wire too ( Red/ yellow strip) too cause tonight when i stepped on brakes with lights turned off my dash and etc all lite up umm keep goofing around with it and see

I think you need some different leds for your tail lights. Ill bet its a poor design.
