Iv pressed and repressed this bearing in and out and it's always a little gummy. What am I doing wrong! :-( its not gummy if I leave out therubber seal (outer/further from engine) and snap ring. When I put it on the car and go for a drive the left side heats up when the right doesn't. Im so sick of this thing! |

Are you sure it's the bearing heating up? If the caliper slides are not free to float, meaning slide easily, and find their "happy place", the brakes will drag. Things will heat up pretty quick.

Im pretty sure its the bearing. There is a discrepancy between spinning the tires by hand with the car jacked up. Im about to just drive it until it blows! |

Update: the inner seal was rubbing a lot once the cv joint gets drawn into it. Nothing I can do about it. It must be ment to "break in" initially that side heated up fast but after prolonged driving both sides are relatively the same temp. I've been driving it and it's just fine. I could have been done 2 weeks ago but kept second guessing how the hub should feel/spin when assembled. |
