Seller told me when i bought this car, ". The stereo speakers have a short going to the back speaker if you plug them in it trips the reset breaker on the stereo"

Whatever that means. So wondering how I can get them back to working again. I did download the manual for this stereo. It is a JVC KD-330. I am still learning how to leave the radio in the "off" position but still see the clock. sometimes I forget my wrist watch and want to see what time it is. I know how to set the clock, but the stereo in the on position always seems to be in the Demo mode or the radio on. There is that Source button and I have learned how to use it and the menu button. But just not sure how to fix the back speakers problem. It will play a single CD which pleases me.

I like my music! a Must, lol :)

If you can't find and repair the short, you will have to run a new wire. If it only trips when the speaker is plugged in the the speaker needs replaced. If it still trips then the stereo is faulty. Stereos usually have fuses I've never owned one with a breaker. Even shorting the speaker wires shouldn't blow a fuse or breaker. What exactly happens when you hook up the problem speaker?

Being an aftermarket stereo the short is probably where the harness was spliced to the radio plug.

I'm not sure about these things so think I will take it to a car stereo place so they can tell me if it's the stereo or a short. Thanks for your reply.

I'd guess they didn't wire the speakers properly, if they're aftermarket.
If you're able to pay gas money I might be able to come down and investigate sometime...
