Is there any way to disconnect the auto lock on 94 metro? I really hate it locked the keys one to many times. Really getting on my nerves go to get out walk around to get things out passenger side and of course its lock so got a fidgit for keys or walk back around to get em cause you threw em in the seat not thinking or leave car running walk in to gas station to get soda or somthing come back out and of course it has locked its self I'm tired of this.

was something aftermarket added?
my 93 only locked when i hit 10 or 15 mph or whatever. my fsm is proping up a computer at the moment, so i cant reference which wire leaves the fusebox to the actuators.

FWIW, when the 93 locks flip when I'am just sitting there, it's time to clean the battery cables, then it's fine after that, may want to clean intake manifold grounds just for good measure..

Same thing happened to me a couple times. Started the engine and shut the door, and got locked out while I was under the hood. So I took the door panel off and disconnected the wires leading to the lock actuator. Problem solved.

The left and right door lock switches get their grounds from the left and right hand kick panel grounds respectively. Nothing in that system uses G102 (intake manifold ground).

If disconnecting the module works, I would also think you could pull the Door Lock fuse, since nothing else uses it.

Yeah, just take apart the door panels and unplug the door lock actuators.

Is that easier than pulling the fuse? :hmm

Jeff (1DCGUY), hit it. disconnect the plug behind glove box.

I hate the "lock yourself out" locks. the only place I ever need my ignition key is in the ignition, period, therefore that is where it stays. I have had to replace too many rear windows due to the lock yourself out locks.

Yes that worked perfect took me less than five minutes to do so worth it having that gone. Just wish I had known bout it and unplugged it before I trashed my passenger door getting unlocked the other day but oh well it was rusted out and needed replaced any ways.
