175/65 14 misses the rear of the front wheel well by ~1/4", and rubs when hitting a dip while cornering hard.

I have 195/60/15s on mine and if I hit a good bump the rears rub. Other than that no biggy.

Don't be a "Richard"

I'm running 195/50/15, and have no problems at all. :thumb

You may have to be a bit more conservative on the sizing if you have installed lowering springs on the car ... :O :O

185 65 14 works great for me on my 93, 95, and 98.

I had a 185/65/14 on my swift with stock wheels. It rubbed both front inner fender liners at the rear on both sides when I hit a big bump. Also fender lips on the rear with big bump. Before it was lowered. Now 185/60/14 no problem at all and it is lowered 1.6" front and rear.

I have 205 45 16 on my 94. They came with the car when I bought it, and I am amazed at just how wrong they are on a metro. I highly recommend that nobody ever tries this. I will put others wheels and tires on before registering this car.

Sometimes you got to ask yourself is it really worth buying a bigger tire that cost more and puts more strain on the transmission for couple more MPG's. Anything over 13 is pushing it unless running low profile tires that then sacrifices comfort.
