Taller, but wider tires; Thoughts or experience appreciated

I have stock 155/80R13 on my car right now, but I also have 195/60R15, they are 24.2" where the R13 are 22.8. I'm wondering if anyone has done that size before, and/or does the width (Ie rolling resistance) neglect the possible mpg increase the height gives.

I have a 3.79 gearbox in my car right now. When I had my automatic, I didn't see any noticeable difference, it did idle lower by like 300-500rpm. But it was winter when I had them so I could really get any solid info.

Save the headache, just get some 185 60R 13's, like NEXEN CP 662 or Federal 641's.
Both are 22.7 +/- .2.
No Rub. Lock-to-Lock or hard bumps.
Excellent Wet/Dry Traction with just a bit extra Steering effort.
Accurate Speedometer reading +/- 2 @ 55 MPH

If you use the car for long commutes, the steelies are fine, but if you do a lot of City Driving, I'd suggest some lighter J 5.5 x 13 Alloy Rims of your choice with these tires.
It takes my little 3 Banger more energy, ie; GAS to get the heavier wheels rolling.

My priority is Safety, rather than Mileage. These cars are way too light for just the Skinny 0145 80R 12's in the rain.

At 213,000 miles, I'm getting about 30 MPG City, with it spending about 20% of the time just Idling. With some Taller 175 75R 13's, I got 49.11 MPG on a long run from Oklahoma City to Tulsa. But when I thought I was doing 60 thru an EMPTY, 55 MPH Work Zone at 2 AM, a Radar Wagon suddenly popped up saying I was doing 77 MPH.
That could have been Bad Voodoo anywhere on that trip because Oklahoma is a "Zero Tolerance" State. ONE Over can get you a ticket.
