The usually suspect is grounds. ^o) Every ground needs to be clean, clean, clean. Especially the battery to engine ground. The alternator grounds through the lower bracket. That contact point needs to be clean. Even new batteries, and cables, need to be cleaned. All connections need to be shiny silver, or brass, color. No dull grey or brown.

Get out your sandpaper and get cracking. :gamerz Loosening, wiggling, and re-tightening doesn't cut it. :shake They need to shine. :cheers

I have had the same problem for a couple of years. I added several more grounds, cleaned the grounds, replaced the alternator twice, I finally pulled the fuse box off the fender by the battery and cleaned the corrosion and connections on the bottom of the fuse relay box. I installed a new battery. I still have a tiny bit of a flicker but I have gotten used to it. Please let me know if you actually get it totally cured.

If all the lights flicker then that leads me to think that ONE THING is the cause. Enough juice goes through a wire to cause something to heat up and the "blow a fuse", the wire (OE what ever the problem thing is) has enough time to cool down. Wash, rinse, repeat abfew times per second. Long way around the bard to say check the big ground wire that goes from the battery to the frame. Thatbwire might be cut, scored, burned, or whatever. Look at its entire length. Topside and bottomsixe for its entire length. Then check the contacts on that wire to make sure they are secure WITHOUT CORROSION.

GOOD luck!

Sorry for all of the grammatical errors.. Stupid fat thumbs.

this post is on the right track, but its not the main ground to the tranny, ....maybe the frame.
also as mentioned above.....look inside both of the fuse boxes......there may be a loose connection.
inspect the relays also.
when lights flicker....its always a loose connection.

(oops, dayle didnt say the tranny ground)
