actually, the gt axles have the same number and size splines on the outboard ends. it's the length of the splined stub that's different. as i recall, the splines on the outboard ends of the gt are shorter to fit the gt hubs. the outboard stub shafts to fit the vert and all other hubs are longer. all the axles have the same inner splines so that any axle will fit the transmission's drive. the g13 uses an intermediate shaft that fits into the differential drive splines and bolts to the rear of the block. if you have the vert hubs or the swift gl hubs you can use the 4 banger non-gt axles and they will work okay with a twincam swap. it's the same with the intermediate shaft, the twincam cars share the intermediate shaft with the g13ba 8 valve cars. the gt hubs have more robust wheel bearings but i ran a twincam swap to a vert with the g13 8 valve axles for a season without any issues. the thing to remember is that the intermediate shafts are different between the automatics and the 5 speeds with the automatic intermediate shaft being longer. for the most part, you can use the parts from the later model g13ba and g13bb 4 cylinder cars on the g13b twincam swap - motor mounts, axles (with the vert hubs) and a lot of the various brackets. for the twincam you will want the throttle cable for the gt. |

Nah, just did an ebay search for "Suzuki Swift DOHC Engine" and then sifted through the results for, eh, 30-45 seconds until I found the most likely candidate. Location being in Pasadena helped confirm... ![]() You're welcome! |
