I don't even know how to do that. I'm going to keep working on drying it out. It seems like there are spurts of it happening. |

You could have some damage from the water on the circuit boards. At the point, there isn't much you can do without taking it apart and cleaning it. Water spots can short circuit electrical devices. In this instance, randomly pressing buttons when you aren't pressing anything. |

Is there a setting where pushing the home button takes you to the open apps instead of the main screen? It seems like that is most of it now. |

Well, it has barely done it over the last 5 hours. I messed with the home button quite a bit. Maybe it was sticking. I'm sure it will act up just after this post. |

I was going to suggest the hard reset myself. You would be amazed at how many strange problems a reboot can fix. I seem to recall the phone in question being a $50 smartphone if my memory is correct. I hate to say it but it isn't worth the time and frustration attempting to fix something like this unless you can get the parts cheap and you don't care to tinker some. The problem with doing this for people is that the cost of parts and labor usually exceeds the value of the phone by quite a bit. Some of these require screen removal to fix. The problem is that you usually bust the screen in removing it so have a new one on hand. It is like pulling the windshield off a car and hoping it doesn't bust. Conor |
