Looking for a cheap used android phone

We have some sort of business plan (my parents pay for it) and my dad asked me to check into cheap SMALL android phones that can be used on Verizon. We can get some kind of data plan for $25 a month if we provide the phone. We currently pay $20 per month for a dumb phone so a $5 upgrade seems like a good deal to me. I currently use one of those sliding type phones with a keyboard and like its small size. I would not be happy with something the size of an I-Phone 6 (or whatever the new one is). I'm looking for suggestions on a used phone that I can buy on Ebay and add to my Verizon account. So, what should I buy...

This is what I currently have (anything is an upgrade):

Grr

just go on craigslist and click the "cell phones" subjection

type in "verizon" and pick whatever you want. I would suggest a high end LG or samsung personally. an LGG2 or a S3 would be a nice cheap but "high end" for its time phone that it still comparable to high end phones of today without the high end sticker price.

in my area you can get an LG G2 for around $130 S3 for around the same S4 for slightly more.
if you live in boondocks country your going to find it tougher and more expensive. if you live near a major large city it will be a lot easier. (the less fish the more expensive the fish)

a search I would use is verizon -iphone

this will eliminate all the icrap

A Galaxy S3 or LG G2 is always a good bet. Both are quad cores although the G2 is a better phone if you ask me. See http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/LG-G2,Samsung-Galaxy-S-III/phones/7969,6330 for comparison and specs.

Then there is the http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-LG-L34C-Optimus-Fuel-Android-Smartphone/36202741. It is made for Straight Talk but uses the Verizon network so it MIGHT work for your setup. They might have it locked down somehow so you have to use ST. Either way, most phones in this price range are unreliable trash. This one is decent for what it is. It is dual core and not the fastest compared to many these days and only has 8GB but can take an SD card for more space.

Here is another: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Verizon-LG-Optimus-Zone-2-Prepaid-Smartphone/36182576

I don't know if Verizon allows SIM card swapping so you might have to have it activated in a store or kiosk.
