I saw a t-shirt that one of the plummers was wearing the other day that said. (You got stoned now go home!) I wouldn't know how much because I don't smoke. But if you look at the money that is coming into this state because of amendment 65. I think its a good thing. The state is fixing all kinds of stuff, (roads, bridges, etc). 30 million in taxes since it passed. Just my 2 cents. |

$100 an Oz. cheaper in Colorado where it's legal, as opposed to just a across the state line into Kansas. Seems like an opportunity for some capitalist minded entrepreneurs! Funny how it's even cheaper in Cali....I thought everything in Cali was more expensive? |

Only problem with that... I wouldn't want to get caught in Kansas on a distribution fed charge.....It's Kansas

Depends... Medical marijuana is less than Recreational marijuana (tax) but then you need the $100 doctors note for medical...guess it all averages out... |

"Legal" pot is still outrageously priced as compared to "black market" pot here in Washington State. Why?..........politicians Guys that grow it legally get taxed 25% when they sell it to the distributors. Distributors get taxed 25% when they sell it to the retailers. Retailers get taxed 25% when they sell it to the users. "Legal" is nothing more than a big tax ripoff. |

Does it take in to consideration the average costs of munchies consumed thereafter? |

In Ohio the cost can vary widely... To summarize, the cost for one joint can start as low as $150 with no jail time, or if you wish to purchase enough to throw a block party for all your friends and neighbors and have some left over to sell off (40,000g or more), then it can cost up to as much as $20,000 and 8 years in prison, or both. Penalties can also be increased depending on a number of factors that include prior convictions and how close to a school you were when caught with it.

The package below was $15. I don't smoke it, but my girlfriend does. She says legal prices are normally only slightly higher than street prices, and sometimes the legal stuff goes on sale...just like any other product you can buy off the shelf in any store in the state. The nice thing about legal here is you know EXACTLY what you are getting...it's required by law to be printed on the label. All gubmint tested and approved by the Washington State Liquor Control Board! There are 4-5 different legal stores she goes to here. I have been in three of them with her. The easiest way to describe the experience to someone from out-of-state would be to say it's like going into a nice cigar shop. Weed stores are all very clean and tidy, everything is laid out nicely in glass cases, and everyone is very sharp, friendly, and polite. They all know their, uhh..."stuff" very well. You will smell weed, of course, but nobody will be smoking it there. They are not dirty or seedy. Every bit as clean as your cellphone carrier's store. There is one where security will escort you through the doors, and you are literally handed a menu detailing what strains they have, the prices, and it's vibe/effect. Only 2-3 people are allowed into the actual store at a time, others have to wait their turn in the (very nice) lobby. ![]()

Penalties also vary greatly depending on numerous other factors. These factors include (but are not limited to): If you a cop, or are you good friends with cops or close have family member is a cop. If you are a politician, good friends with a politician, have a close family member who is a politician. Are you a lawyer, do you know and/or can afford a good lawyer. that's over 89 pounds ($472,786 street value in Ohio at $332/oz), that would be one hell of a block party |

All excellent points. ![]() That's what I was thinking. The question is, would the block have a street name with addresses, or just a single letter?
