The crappy phone from Wal-Mart isn't going to cut it. Like everything else from that store, this is a big compromise and the signal stinks out where I am at. I returned the first one and tried another but it is no different. So I got an LG G2 on order. What is the best rugged case for this phone? I am really hard on phones so want something that would protect the entire phone. My main concern is a point load to the screen such as dropping it face down on gravel. I am tough on phones and tend to go through them rather often. Any suggestions? Conor Edited by cwatkin, May 18 2015, 11:09 PM.

I like OtterBox. I had a Defender series case on my HTC Inspire 4G, kept it safe from 2011 when I got it until a couple of months ago when I replaced with with my HTC One M8; which I immediately purchased an OtterBox Defender for, as well. http://www.otterbox.com/en-us/lg-g2/defender-series-case/lgx2-g2.html |

DEFINATELY the otter box defender series they are bad ass and they rock Mine fell down two flights of metal stairs and into the street and nothing happened to the phone. It has a built in screen protector but i would also put another screen protector on it as well just to be super safe.

Otter Box Defender. They work great. They do add quite a bit of bulk though and I've had bad luck with the belt clips breaking. Usually because I forget I have it on and it snags when I get in the car. But I've dropped my phone several times without a problem. |

I never went crazy protecting a phone, but I spent maybe $2 on ebay for one of the rubber style covers. Didn't cover the front. It did great. My only concern with Otterbox and the hard plastic is that all the shock goes straight to your phone vs the rubber one that absorbs it....Maybe it doesn't make a big deal, I'm no astrophysonomicsician..... |

My phone is the AT&T version. I see that the cases are sold according to the carrier so maybe the buttons are in a slightly different location or something. I see that the cases correspond to the carrier. Interesting. Yeah, I never went crazy protecting phones when I just had cheap ones. The cases cost as much or more than the phones so I just treated them as disposables. Now with my business and all, I pretty much have to have a smartphone. It was pretty easy for me to justify as the money saved on other services will pay for the phone in 3-4 months. I was worried about it being an annoyance at all hours of the day and night but it only gets that way if you let it get that way. Conor |

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F0XJtbYaEbM This video sold me on buying this case a few years ago. Pretty crazy stuff. I have an IPhone, but Griffin probably makes them for LG also. |

That Griffin case looks good. It seems they mainly focus on Apple along with some of the more popular Android phones (Galaxy, HTC One, etc.). Unfortunately they don't have it for the LG G2. Anyway, I think this would be a good case if it was available for my phone. This looks to be a similar one to the Otter Box Defender which so far is the best one I have seen for this phone. Conor |

HAHA. I like how they spun the tire on it. Usually you will see this where they do a few small things and would never show their product fail, but this was great. If you do a burnout on your phone, it should definitely break. Great marketing and If I was a techy with money, I would probably buy one.

It looks like the Otter Box is the way to go for me. No one else seems to cater to the G2. I guess it is old now and many of these seem to cater more towards the latest and greatest phones that people really want. Conor |
