Well as much as I love the truck I decided that I'm not going through the bullshit with the 4L60E again. Plus the monthly payments were way too much.... :D So now I'm looking at a 93 f250 with a 7.3

And when your fuel injection pump goes bad, you will be forking out a lot of money too.

Every car has a fault. The 4l60e is easy to remove. But yea of course the payments were too much...the whole truck was too much. Good luck finding a vehicle. Every person I know that has a diesel says something along the lines of they have paid 2x as much fixing it as the cost of the whole truck. Now with that being older, I'm sure it's a different story.

Please don't mention triton.

My first vehicle to tow the band trailer was a 2003 supercrew 4x4 f150 5.4.

The truck was a one owner with all maintenance records, thing ran great.

After two years of towing (6months total) It blew a valve spring which ruined the entire head.

The old 5.4 is a good motor as long as it doesn't do any tough work.

:lol

Haha tuba, we would get along pretty well.

I hate both new and old ones. The old ones apparently are allergic to this thing called a "spark plug".....They must have been a new invention because ford really fucked it up.

I hate the tritons, but don't get me wrong, I have seen and heard of a few with a ton of miles. I know a few guys that specifically look for them. I guess they either ran a long time or just were crap from the start.

LS is far far far far far far x 5555 better than the triton.

I work for a company over the summer that does like river rafting, tubing, ziplining and all sorts of other things. The majority of our vehicles that aren't buses are fords. A lot of them are triton's and all of them tow trailers. The lowest mileage is a 15 passenger van with 255k miles. It's like wtf why didn't I get one of those.

They also have a silent recall on all the injectors which if you let them swindle you it'll cost you $5500.

When my triton died mid season a friend's dad (who worked for GM for 40 plus years) let me use his 2003 GMC 2500 4 door 8 foot bed 6.6 twin turbo 4x4 with airbag suspension in the rear. Holy shit was this a nice truck.

It didn't even know the 5500lbs trailer was there and it got 16mpg towing.

The old 6.9 and 7.3 Idi's were great motors however I'm not a fan of the power strokes.

Had looked at a 89 d350 with the 5.9 6 cylinder. I was blown away by the power.
