I daily get super nostalgic for the Ford Fiesta I owned in 1990. It was like driving a Super-Rabbit. The Metro is very similar to the Fiesta in many ways, and I'm wondering who's owned both? It isn't even nostalgia, really. Not a moment passed since mine had to get scrapped that I haven't been waiting for the next one, I just hadn't found it yet. Well, now it's too late, really. But I at least get the satisfaction of flipping a 180 and whipping my Metro into parallel parking spaces on the other side of a two-lane street again! (my civic Wagovans were also good for this. My Renault would send parts flying off in the direction you were originally travelling, if you could even gain enough momentum to get to speed in under ten minutes. Oh, and if it managed not to tip over.). |

My current GF used to have a Festiva and she loved it. Unfortunately she sold it because of a likely minor problem before she met me. I think it was a switch, relay, or maybe the starter going out. We know where it is as it is always at this one house and are considering and seeing if the guy would sell it back to her. Conor |

My old-motorcyle-buddy ended up unknowingly getting a Festiva the same color as my Metro within a few days of my "purchase". It also had compression issues like mine. It's number two for him and he uses is as a calzone delivery vehicle, and loves it. I really like the instrument cluster. He's trying to find 12" wire rims, but having no luck. |

I used to have one. Man that was an awesome car. I would almost take one over my little metro. My aunt totaled it with 580k miles when she hit a school bus. I was pissed..... Being a bus driver myself. |

They're ugly little things but every time I see one in the junkyard it has well over 350000 miles on it. Saw one for sale last week for $800 with 150k, was considering it for fun but I don't like the shape. Very reliable cars apparently |

there is a fully restored festiva a few streets down from me. i think its been repainted because its metallic green with black tint the owner keeps it in the car port when i see it. i have been wanting to invite the guy to GMF but haven't talked to him oh yea forgot to mention i passed a nice red one today with a black stripe. also back in the day when i got my metro i would hang out with this guy that had a 'fast-iva' had a bigger engine transplant and turbo that one was blue the other festiva i have been around was called the "dirty bird" my buddys owned it and that car was the trials car, used for stunts for bikes and stuff had flip down ramps to cover the windows for mobile obstacle course. they ended up jumping that car over a ravine killing it. here is the link to its last flight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3lZFu6xRNk Edited by ZXTjato, May 20 2015, 03:14 PM.

The only small car I drove before getting the Metro bug was the Chevrolet Vette. "Chevette" that is! I had 3 of them. |

I always wanted a Chevette Scooter. I knew at least two people that stripped out the innards and used them as "adventure"-type vehicles. You know, the "throw all of your tools in the back, keep pillows and blankets in it, and be ready for UFO's and a Mad Max-style post-nuclear dystopia" type. Same with my Fiesta, I just didn't own many tools then. |

I owned a 79 ford Fiesta Ghia...this was late 90s loved that car I purchased it from the original owner. I got mine because my father had owned a 78 pumpkin orange fiesta for most my child hood. We had many adventures but mine ended up getting stolen and never recovered |
