Recently finally found a non-rusty 1993 Geo Metro XFI. New to Forum. First order of business. Address rear brakes. ![]() ![]() Plenty of brake material. Fairly deep scoring. Why such a metal-to-metal scraping sound when operated? Edited by nickec, May 21 2015, 05:55 PM.

Hard to tell from pics. If you have metal to metal rubbing then there should be evident shiny marks......... |

Looks like you glazed your drums from leaving the e brake on or not adjusted right. I would take 1500 grit paper and buff the glaze off then clean with brake cleaner. |

sometimes if you use the ceramic type ive had them make this noise, im not sure why but they do, i guess there harder material or something, changed them out to the other bio degradable ones and they were quiet. |
