Not looking for pity, just needing a place to vent. Today, and yesterday have without a doubt been the worst days on record for me. Got suspended from my job yesterday, and then fired today. It truly stink, :shit . I've got no one to blame but myself, and I've got to learn from this.

nineone.... i deleted your double post to unclutter the thread.

dot, not to sound cold, but, the best thing to do is to get back on the horse, find a new job as quickly as you can, and file this experience away as a reminder to not repeat whatever it was that cost you your job.

reference it under, "not a good fit for me" and find something more fulfilling. ;)

Add it to the experience bank of learning to pick your battles. I chose to take a stand on a rather inconsequential issue and it cost me my position after 18 years...

Def a learning a experience, and something to put behind me and move forward. Time to find something more.

I kinda got fired twice but both times were over my actions when pay checks bounced and I knew my actions would make it my last day. No one at either job actually said your fired but it was a kinda of an unspoken mutual understanding. One could also say, as I do, that I quit those two jobs when my pay check bounced.

Find a new job fast, take what you can get for now, I always say it's better looking for a job when you have a job (maybe not easier) so get one then you can keep looking and be a little more picky.

Just some thoughts and stories for the thread...

Hope you day(s) get better soon!

I'm totally awesome! I swear.

Just be glad you weren't one of the 25 that got "fired" at the chicken plant, back in '91. Of course, you were only 10, at the time.

If job prospects don't abound in that booming metropolis of Hamlet, you can always head to the Big City®, ... of Rockingham, to seek gainful employment.

The post office is always hiring. Starting pay is around $16/hr. That's part-time but you will probably work around 50-60 hr/week. Might want to give it some thought.

For every action that is against you there is a reason it happened. Just got to find the good in the bad, take it from a man who faced 5 to 99 yrs prison sentence with a expecting soon wife after picking up pieces from a hurricane that hit and trying to hold it all together with PTSD from war.
