Bought a new Geo (Chevy) this morning

I might have found a nice one ($2500 with 53k miles). It popped up on Ebay last night and was sent to me in email at 5:30 this morning. I only thought about it for 5 minutes before hitting Buy It Now. I guess I'll be selling my '94 3/5 but it will make me sad to do so. It has been a pretty good work car for the past 5.5 years and 44,000 miles.

The new car:

Congrats!

Looks like a beaut! Stock as a rock, and even with that mandatory-for-Florida A/C! I'd bet 53k is accurate, as the DRL indicator light in the cluster is still working. That dim green light is on pretty much constantly when the headlights are off, and they usually burn out in short order. Not worth pulling the cluster to replace it.

The difference between the '89-'94 cars and the '95-up cars is like night and day. Please post a full report!

Awesome! You'll get another 100k miles out of that one. Maybe 200K. For a $2500 price! Your cost per mile is going to be VERY low :)

You know, I think $2500 is a fair price (if it is as nice as he says it is) and I've lost a lot of nice cars on CL (getting sold out from under me) so it is good to know that it is kind of officially mine at this point. I've been looking for a nice '99 or similar for quite a while and I'm happy I found one.

I can totally understand that, if it turns out as nice as it looks you'll have a nice little metro for years to come.

Congrats! :thumb

15 at my place, plus a tractor. Yeah, probably over did it just a tad. Wife told me if I die first, I'll be spinning in my grave. Said she'd sell them all. Told her I'd come back to haunt her. :lol

I've got five and a half, and a two car garage. Only the Tacoma sits outside - figure that one out...

Here is one and a half:
