I have always thought that design was by far the best looking of all the "flying car" designs currently in the works. :thumb

One thing about it is that the wheel/landing gear geometry is going to make for some very interesting takeoff and landing characteristics, which will make it much easier to cause some serious structural damage on landing.

We are not likely to see any of these designs become "common" anytime soon. When the day finally comes that any of them actually makes it through certification and into production, the cost is going to be very prohibitive for most people. There may be one of these in every garage, but a lot of those garages won't be able to have houses attached. :lol

I suspect that the only way something like this becomes common is if we figure out antigravity in a reliable and affordable way.

Long before we master anti-gravity, I am confident we will create a small suppository with enough propulsive energy to fly 430 miles. The nozzle will be oriented perfectly. Think of how much less energy it will take to push just your body through the air as opposed to some car sized machine. Rather than two thousand pounds(!) of failure-prone machinery, imagine, if you will, a small anti-matter driven thruster. Even though it will contain an awesome amount of energy, it will be no bigger the a twenty-four ounce bottle of Corona. Real flying, like a bird- like Icarus, made easy for every person with a little Astroglide.
1- You heard it here first!
and,
b- Do I have to think of everything?!

1. I just spit up laughing.

2. I just realized there is a definite line as to what I do not wish flight test. :O

Maneuvering in a 3D space has never appealed to me. I barely trust 10% of the population to navigate a 2 dimensional space.

People can't even drive on solid ground, don't make those morons airborne! :x A fender bender in the sky sounds like a whole lotta "not fun"

One need only look to the seagull, after it's been fed an Alka Seltzer tablet, to understand just how fundamentally flawed this idea is.

"It integrates two utilities in a similar way as a smartphone, which is a good phone and internet browser in one," said AeroMobil spokesman Stefan Vadocz.

Oh boy, there's just what we need, a skyfull of people in their car-planes, yakin' on the phone. *HANG UP AND FLY*
