Red White n Blue, Car Nut Style

I always admire Car Nut's red white n blue signature, but I have never had a red Metro to complete that theme. I have a red Metro visiting for a little while for some work, so I had to get a red white n blue pic.

When was the last time someone told you that your blue metro is beautiful?

I am fortunate to get a lot of comments on it, both on the internet, but also when people see it out in the wild. Out in the wild, I get a lot of "what kind of car is that?", and "I like that color". I enjoy it after the crazy number of hours that I put into building it.

I had Calrenman here a few months back in his red Metro, and the red one pictured above is the second red one to pass through here. It kinda makes me itch for a red one of my own. It probably helps that both of the red ones to pass through here are in really nice shape...

Ya know... blue and red are just a vinyl wrap away from each other.

:O ! Just saying.

Unfortunately for me, nothing can be simple when it comes to cars. If I want a red Metro, I will probably have to go rescue a trashed and abused Metro that is the wrong color, and then take it from there...

I agree, it's just gorgeous! I never commented there, but I read through your whole build thread, and really enjoyed seeing a master at work. :thumb

Perhaps a few days with mine would settle that itch... :lol

Yea, I could enjoy spending some time with that Metro. There is something really cheerful about the sound of a 3 cyl. It kinda has a whirring sound near idle, and the engines just seem happy.

Well, you know how the color does not always match what I had in mind when I get into these kinds of things. That red might accidently get some sparklies or something. It might turn into more than a couple day affair as well...

Very nice pic. Car Nut approved. :thumb When you actually own a red one, get a pic with you doing the down on one knee thing. Then you too can be an official member of the Car Nut club. :lol

Hmmmm. I don't know about the one knee thing on my parking lot at the shop. My parking lot is asphalt, so it may be hard on my knee. That, and I try to maintain the Home Improvement" show theme with the personal pic. In that show, we could never really see the neighbor on the other side of the fence, on GMF, I have limited it to pics of reflections in shiny paint or polished aluminum. Just a fun thing, not that I am not a handsome fellow...
