Okay. I looked through the forum. The trunk release cable on my 95 metro sedan broke. Would a bike cable work? I am looking for just the cable, or a cable that will fit. Not looking for the remote option. I like the simplicity of the manual release I have in place. Any guidance would be great. I keep checking with the yard, but they only have a hatchback right now, and to my knowledge, and what I've seen here, the hatchback cable won't work. I have big plans for the Metro this summer. My wife wants to be done with it, but I'm not ready to give up on it. This, with $200 in parts for steering and alignment fixes, are on the agenda, but this cable is a pain to find. |

Your wording leaves me a little confused. You don't want "the remote option"... But you like the setup you have. ...do you have a factory trunk release? Because if so... that IS "the remote option". Remote as in, far away, not remote as in, a wireless controller. And you're right - no, a hatchback cable won't work. They're shorter. 12-14 inches shorter, I think. |
