Now that I have a Gen3 Metro it is time to put the MPGuino away and move towards something better. I have a few smart phones and some blue tooth OBDII transmitters. Anyone have a cool installation using those two things or maybe a better idea?

I have one of those ELM Bluetooth things, and the Torque Lite app on my phone. I just use it as a code reader/check engine light clear-er, though. I don't leave it set up to see MPGs and stuff. |

I'd like to have something that is always on - especially since my new '99 does not have a tach so I have nothing to look at.... |

I think a $50 tablet, $13 Bluetooth OBD sender, and the $5 torque app would make a great HUD. You can customize it and it does have plenty of good tools. I would use it if my Honda was OBD2, but sadly it isn't. I don't use it on the Metro because...well, it is a metro haha

I have a pretty detailed write up on my tablet in my 93 conversion. It shows ev gauges in my pics, but it is just a tablet running Torque pro, so it works the same in gasoline cars. You just pick out gasoline gauges for a regular car.![]() Same thing for 96 and up metros, but they are already obd2 ![]() Edited by evmetro, Jun 12 2015, 11:32 PM.
