My 97 has only high speed so it stops randomly..not returning to stop position...are these hard to replace, dealing with the air bag etc? Or could the switch be bypassed and just install a universal wiper delay controll switch... |

No there are not hard to replace. If you have the right tools. You would need a wheel puller and maybe a couple of special sockets to do it right. You replace the entire unit not just the switch. This link will give you a pretty good idea of what it takes to replace it. http://geometroforum.com/topic/4523993/1/ |

Per this thread (and others, this is the first one my search brought up) the wiper switch (arm) is replaceable on it's own. http://geometroforum.com/topic/5333018/1/ |

As long as you can live with what you have for a few days, it might be worth a try. That did the trick on my turn signal/headlight bright dim switch... Sprayed contact cleaner in the base the best I could, exercised it for a minute or so, repeated one a day for a few three days. |
