Ok, found a few more items in another scrap pile I was given. Provision 750N commercial projector unit. It is from 1995 and uses 3 lenses (one for RGB). The thing is a tank and probably weighs like 100lbs or more. It is like 2.5 ft wide, 2.5 ft long, and 1 ft tall. It uses analog inputs but says "digital" on the outside so it must have some type of digital processing. You can tell it is well made but old. Would this be worth eBaying? I can't find any in past listings so it must not be very common. I figure transportation of this thing would be a nightmare and it might not be worth messing with trying to sell. This, and the fact I see lots of nice copper transformers and aluminum heatsinks through the vents, makes it of value for scrapping. I ended up with a Sony portable FP-62 projector. This is the same as the FB-60 but without the Betamax player/recorder. It is not a total tank but is large compared to something similar made today. The last is a 3M Wollensak reel to reel. Would that be of value to anyone? You can tell that they made this stuff to last back then. I ripped apart a couple old VHS units that were built like tanks with cast-aluminum bodies and all. At least this makes them good for scrapping. They don't build them like they used to! They were Sony which was the brand to have at that time. Conor |

I know a little about vintage stereo gear, if its has a silver face and is heavy it passes the first test. no all in ones, Soundesign, Yorx , etc that stuff is junk. that reel to reel may have value if it is pro gear. the 3 lenses projector? I have no idea.. |

It as a silver face and is heavy as a tank. The entire housing is cast aluminum. I looked up past sales on eBay and it only went for $10. Not worth my time and off to the scrap yard with this one. It is a 1500 SS model if anyone is interested. Conor |

Fired it up and it was rough. Sounded like every bearing in the thing was filled with sand. It is stripped for scrap metal at this point. Conor |
