How about I make whats left of the tropical storm accelerate out to the east and the rain in central Ohio stop. it worked. ;) hopefully long enough for you to get dry.

I have a ~3000 gph utility pump for watering the garden from the pond that isn't being used this week for obvious reasons. Seriously, if you need the extra lift I could have the pump to you in about an hour if it would help get your basement emptied faster.

Just let me know if you need it.

I have plenty of parking space if you need a place to store the Metro and the Swift.

Why didn't I think to offer that. :smackface

Clearly, one of us was thinking more clearly than the other when we made our offers of assistance, and it sure wasn't me.

Self-Declared "Genious"

Our cellar flooded with almost every rain at our old house. Some times the septic would back up through the drains as well. From the grey water tank, thank God! Still had to spend hours with the shop-vac sucking water out of the cellar, but we decided to invest in lots of pallets, double stacked, for everything in the cellar.

Ummm, but your man cave is in the basement, Richard... water in there is distinctly a problem...

I was watching the weather Wednesday morning before I went to work. The tv metorologists (3 of them) all said we were going to get boocoo rain ALL DAY LONG!!! :scared :scared

I went to work, put on my wet gear and proceeded to be a mailman. Not one drop of rain fell on me until thirty minutes left on my route. The front split in half were I was at and we didn't get any rain. Guess my offering of foul weather gear was heard. :D

Sucks to be you t3. I guess the metro gods are pissing down on you because you didn't offer anything up to appease them. Might want to rethink your strategy in the future before you anger the gods, again. :worthy :worthy :lol

Please send us some water T3. Our little river here is at its late Sep flow. (I still love Flo) And I don't miss those screaming ass hot days in Vegas ZXT. I did about 30 years down in the sun. Now I live where we get the fog bank from the ocean every evening. I hope it goes well for you T3. And get those cars out of there guys.

The good news is the system has picked up a lot of speed today and is moving pretty fast.

Maybe not as fast as a Marsupial, still but pretty fast.

Bonus points for anyone that got that reference from one of my favorite impressions of all time. :D

Here on the Washington State Coast we are getting less rain than I have seen in the past 50 years.
I don't have to wash my cars anymore--just take a dust cloth to them.
Even the grass on the side of the roads and ditches is turning brown--never seen that before on the coast.
Last real rain I have seen at my house was last December............

my wife, kid, and i bailed water with buckets for several hours, carried it up the steps, and out the back door.

when we took a break and the water calmed i could see a little vortex running over the drain. after about 5 hours of running full pipe the basement drained.

the water has been down for about 4 hours and there are actually dry places on the floor. :thumb
