I need to know which wires control the left, right and brakes lights. I need to splice in my trailer light connector so i can pull my new boat. I have searched around and didn't find the information I needed to justify cutting wires yet. Just need to know what color the brake and right and left turn signal are and I should be good. I have the wires exposed from behind the plastic panel in the trunk area. Just don't know which ones are which. Any help would be appreciated. 99 chevy metro 3 cyl... hatchback |

If you can afford a new boat, you can certainly spend $20-30 for a Factory Service Manual and have immediate access to all the wiring diagrams you will need. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-Chevy-Geo-Metro-Factory-Dealership-Shop-Service-Repair-Manuals-/141695182566?hash=item20fdb0e6e6&vxp=mtr How big of a boat are you planning on towing? |

It's a 14' jon boat. Need it ready asap. Just need the 3 wires my harness splices to. They don't make a easy connect for my model. |

Did you remove the tail light assemblies and check the wire colors to the individual bulbs from the connector(s)? Otherwise you need someone who has a 99 Factory Service manual to look those wires up for you ensure you cut the correct wires. If it's similar to the 96, the wire colors are the same to the left and right turn signals, and the tail/stop lamp colors are the same to each assembly as well. |

I remember seeing years ago special bulbs that had several wires coming out of them-you replaced your normal bulbs with these and then ran your trailer wires into the wires coming out of the special bulbs-wonder if anything like that is on the market today.... |
