American flag burners get saved by the cops they hate! http://nypost.com/2015/07/02/cops-save-anti-nypd-flag-burners-from-angry-bikers/ I once heard a story like this about where I live during the Vietnam era protests. A bunch of hippies were coming from Columbia, MO to Rolla to protest the war at the ROTC building here. Rolla is pretty conservative overall and has a military connection being near Ft. Leonard Wood. Columbia is essentially the Berkeley of Missouri. I believe that county (Boone) carried Ralph Nader in that presidential election and was the only county in the state to do so. It is a very liberal location to say the least. Well the hippies show up in VW busses painted with peace signs wearing tie dye clothing. There are a couple of Sheriff's Deputies standing there with shotguns when they show. They make a remark to the deputies about "Are you here to harass us?" The deputies said, "We are here to protect you from THEM!" and pointed to an angry shouting mob armed with baseball bats and metal pipes! The hippies quickly got right back into their vans and left, never to return. By the way, the VW company was largely organized and started by none other than Adolf Hitler. We need to ban the sale of these cars and make sure all dealerships are closed down. We also need to make sure that no used examples are around to remind people of this terrible time in history. The government needs to order them confiscated and destroyed! Send them to the crusher! Anyway, I am joking of course but that is kinda what is happening with the Confederate flag. It is somewhat humorous that the peace loving hippies seemed to gravitate towards a car company started by the NAZIs though. Conor |

I never really cared about the confederate flag either. The liberal media and the liberal machine has targeted that flag simply as a stepping stone to target bigger and better things. The folks who restrict their media consumption to liberal sources go out and fight once they have been activated by their masters, the liberal media. The beauty of the liberal machine is that part of the program that makes the liberal machine work is to view outside media sources as evil, liars, or what ever it takes to ensure that nobody wants to consume these other ideas. Conservatives are not immune to this kind of behavior either, and I have seen many get brainwashed by limiting their consumption to the FOX news channel. Fox has a lot of great stuff, but they will take over your perception of society just as fast as the liberal media will if you turn your intake of media over to them. In the case of the rebel flag, the liberal pawns are set in motion to bicker about agenda that relates to the flag itself, and get folks to bring in racism and such until that item is destroyed. Before the dust settles from that issue, a new one will surface, and the same thing happens again. What the liberal machine relies on, is that their soldiers always stay focused on the specifics of the topic on hand. The soldiers need to stay focused on one block at a time, without seeing how that block fits into an entire wall. As for Wal Mart, Amazon, Ebay, and other big sellers discontinuing the sale of rebel flags while continuing the sale of equally offensive products, anybody can see that there is extreme hypocrisy here, but the racism thing trumps common sense here. If anybody gets caught pointing at the hypocrisy of what they are doing, then they will be framed as a racist. This racism trap will continue to distract liberal soldiers over, and over. |

Probably the biggest cover up by the media right now is the situation with Donald Trump. I confess to pointing mostly at liberal media, but in the case of what is going on with Trump right now, FOX news is too afraid to wrestle with this one. What none of the media is willing to do right now is to actually review the validity of Trump's controversial remarks that everyone is an uproar about in the media right now. The liberal media is engineering an incredible lie to steer the lefty only viewers, and FOX news is too afraid to shine a spotlight on the truth. All the folks caught in the racism trap are looking specifically for data that proves Trump is a racist, and nobody is actually reviewing his exact words and context on youtube while asking themselves if what he is saying is true. The accuracy of his blunt comments is like an elephant in a room, but the media on both sides can't figure out how to handle it. |

I'm pointing the finger at FOX News on this as well. Fox is stuck in the racism trap right now, and they are too scared to get out. Both medias are a problem with the Trump situation. |

You can catch up with everything by youtubing Trumps presidential announcement speech, and then to see all the hooplah in the media, you can probably just google the word "Trump" to see all that. Pay attention though to how many people actually focus on if his statements are true or not. You will see lotsa folks saying that they don't like what he said, or that they don't agree, but see if you can find anybody actually disputing the truth of his statements... |

Yeah, both sides are guilty of this. It does seem the liberal media is more of an offender if you ask me. Now here is one racist computer. http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/02/tech/google-image-recognition-gorillas-tag/index.html That is definitely offensive. As for other racism, yeah, you disagree with these people and you are a racist. It is just that simple. Conor |

Probably not for long. The conservative media is in the cross hairs of the liberals, and may soon fall. Once the freedom of speech is behind us, the conservative media will soon follow. Nobody will really know the difference once the federal media is in play, and threads like this will be moot. This whole Trump thing where FOX is too scared to address the accuracy of Trump's comments looks like the beginning of the end for conservative media. |

This is what they tried to do with Duck Dynasty. I don't really care about that either but they have conservative ideals so the big broadcasters tried to get them knocked off the air. I see that Reelz picked up Miss America and/or Miss Universe so that is good news. I understand they have done this in the past with others. I agree that Trump is getting a lot of flack for his comments. We all know that all the news stations have their agendas. Maybe Fox News doesn't see his as their "chosen one" for the election and wants him out early on. Nothing would surprise me these days. Yes, I tend to agree with Fox more than the others but they definitely have an agenda just like everyone else. MSNBC is the left wing one of all of them. CNN is left of center but not anything like MSNBC. I will watch CNN but not MSNBC. Conor |

I have a rare passion for knowing what all the media is saying, so I watch all of the media sources that I can. MSNBC, NBC, ABC, FOX, you name it. As far as I know, the biggest source of news out there is Drudge Report, which is just an active list of current headlines, but it is the best thing I have come across. It is also free and on the internet, so you don't even need cable. All of the cable news that I watch is recorded on my dvr, and then I can sort through it all after I am done working on Metros for the day. My unusual fixation on seeing all news sources is how I can see biased agenda coming from all the news sources, including FOX, who is supposedly on my my side. Like you, I dislike msnbc the most, but the only legitimate way I know to claim that they are the most biased and dishonest is to watch it. Know thy enemy. Fox is the closest cable news source to my opinions, but I can see clearly that they will brainwash viewers as well and manipulate their viewers perceptions of the world just like MSNBC will. |

NO media, conservative or liberal or in between is addressing the FACTS that Trump said. All that is happening is people are "agreeing with" or "disagreeing with" his statement. By doing that there is no discussion of the Facts themselves. That results in no progress in any direction, just arguments. |

Trump's mission is to obliquely associate himself with the Republican party, then go out and throw red meat to the party base....red meat the "serious" presidential candidates are afraid to throw. They, then, look better by party association with Trump, but without having to actually say anything too controversial. Is what he is saying mostly valid? Yes. But he is not meant to be taken seriously as a candidate. He is, in political parlance, an "attack dog". Nothing more. Edited by Cobrajet25, Jul 3 2015, 05:17 AM.
