Does '97 to '99 engine and under dash wiring interchange with the '96 G10 five speed wiring with '96 ECU ?

As long as both are the same type engine and trans I don't think you should have a problem.

'96-'97 I see no problem. '98 and up may very well be different, it became a Chevy then and some other things changed.

As long as it is a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder it should be the same. The 4 cylinders are way different and wont work. I don't have a FSM for anything 98 up so I can't verify that.

Turbo3 and Twincam Tweaker

i'm saying no.

the compliment of sensors changed and throttle body's emission and idle stuff varied.

the g13bb cars' wiring definitely doesn't interchange with a 96.

it can be something as simple as an alignment notch on a connector changing from one model year to the next. i know that there were line changes in the map sensors and coolant temp sensors

I have a Suzuki Swift parts catalog, so, grain of salt, as there's nothing 3-cylinder related in there, but...

Well, yikes. I'll just upload the pic to show what I'm talking about. Be just a mo'.

Just look at all the variations, between year, manual or automatic transmission, ABS or no ABS...!

My 96 G10 five speed has a short that blows the IGN fuse. I removed the engine wiring and unwrapped it, could not find an obvious short. I thought that I'd do the same for the under dash wiring as the car had a jumper wire to the fuze panel.
