What do you guys think of Geo Jeff? Found his website, and it seems like he does a good job restoring Metro's to factory condition. But he seems kinda pricy. $5600 for a total drivetrain overhaul, as well as a new paint job. Probably includes bearings, suspension, etc. Lots of info on his website here. Just looking for some opinions. http://www.jeffsgeometro.com/ |

I would never recommend anyone purchase anything from Geo Jeff. You're familiar with the idea of a cook who could burn water? That's Jeff, but with Metros.

FTFY ![]() Plenty of threads on our opinions of his... ummmm... work. Just search the forum for "How to hack up a Metro and take a lot of unsuspecting customers' money for it." j/k - but not about the "plenty of threads" part. Even a thread or two about really nice members who bought one of his "Creations" and got a firsthand edumacation about the quality of his work - virtually all of the lessons sad, some of them downright scary.
You kill me! Is there a YouTube video out yet where he claims his burnt water is better than the water cooked at the Sorbonne? Edited by myredvert, Jun 29 2015, 12:55 AM.

Dang... you guys are really passionate against him. I've never started a thread and got this much attention so quickly. I saw him on youtube first, and his website looked promising. Other than the price, I knew something must have been too good to be true. Them Metros sure do look pretty with a new coat of paint, though! And I do know cooks that burn water. Destroyed my skillet too!

He would use your skillet to destroy your stove then beat you over the head with the skillet because you are so dumb as to loan him a skillet without having a working stove to use it on. |

Mythstae and I have personally had our hands on some of his handywork, it ain't pretty, the results aren't good, and it ain't legal. It's amazing he hasn't been sued out of existence, but then people driving Metros generally don't have a lot of money. The speed of the response is twofold; one, it's a subject many of us are familiar with him, and two, the sooner we reveal the truth of the matter the sooner we prevent someone from making a massive, possibly life altering mistake. We are passionate about these little cars and protecting our members from making mistakes whenever possible. Geo Jeff just happens to fall afoul of both those items. |

If you like crap and like spending your money on garbage. I purchased one of his MPG heads and sent it right back, it was an oily mess painted over with silver spray paint worth about $50. Go ahead and use his "services" if you dare. |

I still love his propane conversion. "Hey lets put a propane tank in the car and strap it behind the back seat, it will be ok and won't hurt anyone." |

I don't understand the man's prices, and how the hell he's able to get them. $6,000 dollars for a Geo Metro? Absolutely insane....the only one worth that is something EV Metro does, simply because the components are so damn expensive. |

Ouch! I hope mine is worth at least $6,000. I have $8500 tied up in the restoration and that was with me doing all of the labor! |
