Anyone know the diameter of the tubing?

Is that heavy wall chromoly tubing or solid rod?

It's a solid rod .77 inches, or 19.5mm measured just now, laying in the snow, out in the parking lot, as best I could. :'( :thumb

Not sure about macs. I emailed him through ebay and asked about him making some but have not heard back from him yet. I remember talking to him early 2014 about it but can't find my info from him so I sent him another one.

Thanks Snowfish for the info and dedication to get the measurements in the snow! Glad you got a couple of them before they are gone.

With a name like Snow Fish. It didn't sound like much of a sacrifice. ;) I do also appreciate your efforts. You are willing to take one for the Metro team. Cold soggy jacket. Makes me cold just thinking about it.

Sway bars front and back and be amazed at how well your car handles. The best bang for your buck.

When I get a chance I'll grab a photo of the wood template that my friend from Teamswift made. Everyone should realize that the measurements are precise and accurate but it would be a heck of a lot easier to make a jig from an actual product. I will ask if he would be willing to make a jig. I will need to take my Turbine Tech Underbody Brace back off when I complete my exhaust system. Just a heads up I work in my own time and things often take me a lot more time get done than I would like.

I completely understand that solerpower... My afternoon projects often times turn into weekend jobs.
I am still going to do the sway bars but was just looking into the brace again from my original post when I saw someone said they were almost out. Thought I would spread the info about it just in case people wanted to get them before they were gone...

Well, crud. Most of the verbiage seemed to indicate it was for the front....but reading further I see you are correct. Bummer.

Its confusing how they word it though. Here it is:

Wiechers strut bar Suzuki Swift GTI (Bj. 89 - 93) strut bar steel front below

Type: strut bar steel
Mounting position: front below

A wishbone support reduces track and camber changes at the front axle. They enhance the steering stability. Especially recommendable in combination with wide tires or a coilover kit.

Notes:
One-piece rear strut bar is mounted with bolts between the rear strut towers. Drilling required
Rear strut bars are not suitable for convertibles and station wagons.

I think the rear is the other picture on the page. The top picture looks to be for the front bottom as stated. Something to consider since the 4 point isn't going to be around much longer. I wonder if a 2 point would make much difference with swaybars already on.

The only way to get the 4 pt is to buy used. Turbinetech no longer has any and wont make anymore. 2 pt is better than nothing but not as good as the 4 pt.
