Do I have to replace inner and outer wheel bearings, or can I just replace outer?

You can do just one, but why? :dunno If one's bad, the other one is not far behind. :die Do both :gamerz and at least that one side will be done. :cheers

Do them as a set. You can find them on Ebay much cheaper than your local parts store. And you should do both sides at the same time.

My dad told me when I took mine to him that the bearings are bad on both sides of mine... so whats a good brand to go with that won't break the bank... wonder how long you can run without changing them lol... btw people talk about inner and outer... I just see pairs for the left and right front... nothing that says inner and outer... so what do I need to be looking for? I seem to be finding a decent brand pair for $35 that says it will cover the left and right... but nothing about inner and outer

So......Did your day say to always purchase a Factory Service Manual for the particular car you are going to work on BEFORE you took out your wrenches?

So......What does your FSM say about "inner and outer"????

It was something about the firing order of the 4 cylinder, I believe it said the firing order was like 1432 or something and the other guy said it was 1324 or something it wasn't exactly those orders but it was about the firing order, as far as the wheel bearings do u have any clue about that or u just here to argue back n forth because if so I will not reply to u because I'm not here to argue I'm here for answers and to help members if I know an answer

It was I that originally posted that the FSM was wrong, however after reviewing and retracing the wires and reconfirming that the distributor turns counterclockwise, I determined that I was wrong and t he firing order is correct at 1342. The diagram shows number 1 at 7 o'clock position. That is not entirely accurate since establishing TDC the dist points to the plug at 2 o'clock position, ie #1

As for wheel bearings. There are one for each wheel on the 95-97 generation. each should cost about $20-30 on ebay. Do not buy the cheapest version from china 'cause they seem to fail in 1200 miles. I have first hand experience with that and believe me you don't want to do bearings often. I'm sure there is a wheel bearing instruction in the forum.

Ah ok yeh mine is a 2000 model n it seemed to look like there is one per wheel on the front n 2 per back, I found the front ones together 2 for $29.98 and they carry a 2 year warranty and from a very reputable dealer on ebay so I'm guessing those r good
