This all started when I was dating this girl and her brother had several geos. Some in storage (drivable). Some he was parting and the daily driver. He got me hooked. And he got me my first geo. He set me up and did most of the startup work on mine to get me on the road and now I'm on my own. So that's the backstory. I'll try to get on later and post the pics I took today of her up on jack stands from today.

So there's the pics. Enjoy. I'll get some better ones shortly once I have some of her maintenance done.

Nice. I've always like the sedans and a 4cyl/5 speed sedan is the big-block "sleeper" of Metros!

Today I drained and flushed the cooling system. I have several things going on all at once while I wait on parts. I need a thermostat but I did get the white oring/bushing from advanced as I read in a members post. A deer hit the car last fall and I had replaced the front passenger window and side mirror but the back passenger door (you can see the dent in the one picture where the deer hit the handle as well) will not open from that so I'm working on tearing the back seat out to get the inner door panel out. I want to get the frame horns oiled since they are still in good condition and I hope to keep them that way. The drivers door will not open from the outside with just using the handle I have to hold the key in the unlock position and then open the handle and then on the inside I have to (since the trim panel is off) jiggle (technical terminology) the rod for unlock/lock while trying to open the door so working on that as well. Key lock cyl on the trunk is always an "is it gonna work today" ordeal so I keep it lubed up. The exhaust will need replaced soon as I expect at least one rust hole from my inspection. And speaking of inspection I need to get it inspected and emissions passed and it had am O2 sensor code that I cleared and I need to drive to see if it comes back as well as some other emissions faults that may clear with drive time. I have read a lot since joining this forum and learned even more. I changed the transaxle fluid which needed done. Replaced the alternator which is the main cause of why it is off the road now to begin with. I still have a tick coming from the drive belt area which may or may not be the water pump bearing I'm not sure yet. It comes and goes while idling at the moment. I had a squealing before and that may have been the alternator bearing/belt before it was changed. So that's about it for now that I can think of and remember. I have some other things to do and check and lubricate and oh it has 124,000 miles on it now. I plan on doing the compression test also. Night night. Hope yall enjoy my novel.

Changed the power steering fluid since I drained it when I took the lines apart to get the alternator out.
