So we got another geo instead of getting rid of the geo... a 1992 Base model geo with low miles and a new 30,000 japanese engine (new 10 years ago). The PO was fixing it up... put a new engine in, then new ultra huge wires for the starter and ground... however he forgot the wire from the battery to the main fuse....... he parked it for 10 years when he and all his mechanic friends could not figure out why it would not get power to the inside of the car. So I bought it for 350$, put the missing wire on *honestly took me about 20 minutes to figure out* and it started right up. after sitting so long I was worried, so I put new oil, tires, flushed cooling system, new coolant, 1 radiator hose leaked, patched for now while I order new hose, cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.

So on to the reason WHY I posted here..

at first start/working the head lights didnt work. I took the connectors off and cleaned them and the headlights worked. THe signals worked, all seemed good. Until..

I pushed the horn. it buzzed happily for 2 seconds then stopped. Now it makes a slight clicking sound. :ermm: :-/ :smackface

after I pushed the horn the turn signals and hazards no longer work. I took every connection on the fuze box off, blew them out, and re istalled, none look burnt or anything. I put in a new flasher relay thingy, I took all the bulbs out and cleaned and made sure currosion free.

none of that helped. if I turn on hazards, or signals it just buzzes at me. buzz. buzzzzzzzzz. if i push the horn it makes a click sound under the hood. I am hoping to go to pull and save and see if I cant get the whole new electric box/fuses that are under the hood, to try and replace those, the two relays, some factory wires.. etc. maybe these will help.

the horn and the turn signals should not affect each other should they? I am pretty confused, but I am sure I will figure it out. Welcome geo 2 to the family :)

The buzzing sound might be a relay that is being back fed.

Not sure which thing fixed horn but it's fixed, unplugged and cleaned everything in car with quick dry electric cleaner. Lights sill didn't work. Finally figure d out they were very loose in sockets.. Lightly squeezed with pliers now all work!
