![]() so we acquired some free 99 window screens, I installed them over our master bedroom and I got the ancient window to slide free. used some sand paper a razor blade and the vacuumed the dirt and dust from the old sliders and now it opens fairly ok ![]() my game room needed a screen also, I had some scrap screen so I made a basic wood frame thing to hold the screen in place, its not that great but it was free and works good. ![]() there used to be some funky built in wall shelf here so I removed that added some insulation in the wall because this is where the toilet goes, now on the other side of the pluming for the sink and toiled is our bed, in fact its the head of the bead so I added lots of insulation around the pluming to hopefully reduce the running water sounds and toilet flushes. ![]() there was a patch here on the wall and I didn't know what was there and we assumed it was the vanity light that was non existent, so out came the hammer and a few whacks later I knocked a hole in the wall and found the wires now we can install new lights above the sink so I used a hole saw cut a large hole strung the wire through and patched up the big hole with sheet rock. ![]() for those who remember I had to cut the wall to get the old cast iron tub out, well time to patch that up and here we go, all scrap green board from the shower when it was done didn't have to buy any thing but mud ![]() here is the shower pebble floor glass block privacy window, granite back board in the sunk in shelf and the strip goin around the shower is that polished granite also. ![]() now back to the back room after and in between mud dry times, I patched up the massive hole from removing the fire stove thing then did mud on the lower part so when the base boards go on its all finished under there. Sarah and I finished the floor removing all the stuck on thin set, scraping the floor clean and sweeping up dust, ill mop it in the morning and set the box tile out for the tile guy so it can be done real quick. also the tile guy brought over a mud hopper so I can spray mud texture on the bathroom walls he will show me how to use it and all that. so the bathroom will get new texture then paint, ill install the new toilet that is handicapped accessible, that means its just chair height and not super low. also its an elongated toilet with a nice plastic bacteria resistant seat. stainless bolts that have that never loosen nuts on them so easy clean ready to go

Wow, tall shower! I like the tile floor. What year is your house? I really like the 1920's-30's looking 3-over-1 window in your second picture. They are getting hard to find, and that one is definitely a keeper. I hated using the hopper and compressor to spread mud and knock it down later. No fun... you can get a similar result just buying a 5 gallon bucket of drywall mud and dipping a 3/8" nap roller in, and rolling on the walls, then knocking down with a scraper. Looking good!

I do not know what year the house is because it was moved from phoenix in the 70s but yes its a 3 over 1 window, the bathroom where that block glass is there used to be one of those old windows with the spring loaded pulleys, pretty cool window. the hopper was easy, the tile guy showed me how it works and how to mix the mud did a few sprays and said here ya go. so I sprayed then he showed me how to knock it down so I finished up the rest. I think it looks pretty good but I am no expert. least I tried to do it. so the fan is on in the bathroom and when sarah gets home she is going to paint in there then I will install the toilet. hope it has instructions.

![]() so scratchpaddy gave me this computer monitor mount system for dual mounts. I decided to be the cool guy and make the floating monitors above the desk, started here I managed to grab a stud on the right and one stud on the cap on the left, then used 2 wall anchors. the post is a hand rail or clothes hanger pole I'm not sure, the brackets are pipe tie downs I drilled a hole in the center for that screw. ![]() here is the part for the mount system it didn't fit snug enough on the pole so I cut down an aluminum can and used it as a shim to help grip the pole, you cant see the can because I cut it small enough to be inside the mount hardware part. ![]() I got both monitors mounted the same level as the built in pc monitor. my pc is still separate from all this so its easy to pack and go. take note of the sleek black computer and all its dusty glory, I bet when I clean this pc out it will have 10 pounds of cement sheet rock wood and tile dust in it. you can see the dust on the vents in the picture its pretty bad. pushin 90C under heavy load GPU gaming and I bet its the dust ![]() I had a hard time getting the arms adjusted just perfect but I got it after some fiddling. one slight mod I had to do was on the monitor to the left I had to use only 2 of its mount bolts to give me about 50 mm extra space to get the angle right on the monitor, but its light and wont fall with only 2 bolts. next ill stain the post to match the desk and I would like to stain the upper bracket on the wall as well. one final step I wanna do is add led accent light and get the 12volt situation figured out because I hate having so many power bricks. I do like my hover style system, no more bulky tv feet taking up space on the desk. Plus all my cords can run under the monitors and not get tangled snagged hung up on the feet. so a huge thanks to him for giving me this cool system it really got the job done, all I had to do was die at a junk yard in 10 billion degree heat for a bolt that wouldn't come undone and give him a jack for his car, driving around with no jack can you imagine

You didn't mention helping me install an airdam and half a dozen other little things with my car. I think it was a good trade. I'm glad you got the mount to work. Looks real nice. I wish I had even half the drive you do. When you want to get something done, you do it. I mostly just think about getting stuff done.

![]() ok so the living room is done, funny story about that toilet there and ill get to that in the next picture ![]() ok so remember the hole I patched up in the wall? well there was a reason for that hole, standard toilets come with a 12 inch rough in. so a hole was cut In the wall to accommodate a standard toilet any way we went and bought a 10 inch rough in toilet and I didn't have to cut the wall. got the toilet installed last night and it was so nice to have a quarter turn valve after I hooked up the water line it just went slick and perfect.![]() brushed nickel shower curtain rod mounted up, its one of the curved shower rods, and Sarah got the curtain and bath mat plus some other things that go on the décor of the color. ![]() a lot of you may remember the old water heater the tank less one. well the electrician said that it was not needed in Arizona that one was a 27Kw heater, we took that back and got a smaller even more efficient heater. this heater only used 1 60 amp breaker vs the other one had 2 60s. its all hooked up and the electrician hooked up the power installed the breaker into the panel and all is great. it saved lots of time and money for me to do the hard part of the install, the wire run the install of the heater etc. all the electrician did was check my work and hook it up to power. ![]() he decided it would be best to put the heater on a plug vs a hard wire into the wall. so he threw in the plug for free he was just happy to not have to crawl around in the celling and sting wire.

I don't think I like house mods, just today I had to take a break from all this and I put a new headgasket in my car. probably didn't need it but I think it did so what ever off with its head. I zen garden geo metroed out and tinkered with my car all day. so relaxing. |

how hot did you set yours, I set my heater at 117 and that's pretty warm but not scalding hot. I think I should turn it up for washing dishes or laundry. how is yours? |

I set it on 120. can adjust it from inside house, so grand-kids don't get to hot. |

any way we went and bought a 10 inch rough in toilet and I didn't have to cut the wall. got the toilet installed last night and it was so nice to have a quarter turn valve after I hooked up the water line it just went slick and perfect.
