It's kinda weird, hearing what you have gone through down there. I pulled out of your neck of the woods, (well, AZ) myself around the turn of the millennium, and under similar circumstances. The wife that I had back then traded me in for a new guy, and it took me off guard. I packed up all my stuff and moved on, but I did not see it coming. Had to pack everything myself in the 110 heat, so your story kinda hit home for me. Hope things go well for you, best of luck.

So here is our dirty stupid faces, it's hot and were sweaty. We unloaded the trailer round 1, came in and got the blue geo plus a lot of other things.

Posted Image

Posted Image

My beloved blue car is home, it has all my best stuff in it. I have not been able to work on my red car in forever because this has been packed up.

Posted Image

Light was fading fast as we loaded up the white GT, engine hoist, dressers, tree, wheel barrow, wood, fire pit and any remaining crap that we could fit on the trailer.

Posted Image

I can't wait to start enclosing this carport, will be my work shop. I think my car port is big enough for at least 2 or 3 more

Posted Image

So I had wondered what this little soft spot was when I bought the place. Well I found out that the shower does not point low enough and the glass wall thing leaks, so the previous people just let it leak. Now there is a hole, ill be fixing this asap.

Posted Image

So I got a tarp for the water to spray on and splash down until I deal up the leaks and find a shower head that can point at the floor and not the wall.

Your carport is killer. I'm jealous. I wonder what the neighbors thought, when they saw the Metro fleet, and all assorted parts, moving in? Honey, there goes the neighborhood. :lol The last neighborhood, that I divorced myself from, would have been on the phone, calling the homeowners ASSociation. Yep, don't miss that place one bit. They can keep their clubhouse, swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts. I never used them anyway. Rant over.
Anyways, you've got a great place of your own now, that you can fix up however you want. Knock off the dust and soot from the fire you've been through, Pat yourself on the back, and keep moving forward, without looking back.

So I had wondered what this little hole was here in the bathroom behind the shower.

Posted Image

Well the shower head does not point at the floor but at the glass, so it leaks between the cracks and soaks the wall, guess the previous owners didnt care much. So I put this tarp in here to let the water splash down the drain and not on the wall. I'll fix this soon as its nice and dry.

Posted Image

So I set to work on my computer desk, got the previous desk all set in place and screwed to the wall, got my 4k in the middle and used scrap wood to build the mounts for the other 3 1080 monitors.

Posted Image

Got the computer all set up and monitors calibrated for mouse positioning a d type of cable output.
Posted Image

I may have gone a bit mental when doing cable management,I set up all my hubs, networking power and data in nice bundles then tied them bundles all in a big bundle.

Posted Image

Then I set up the top end with this rack mount power strip, the plugs are far enough apart to handle bulky power bricks. Low amperage type of plugs. How I got this was at my work they had probably 5000 things daisy chained to this and the unit burned up and went in the trash. I ordered new plugs and soldered leads inside fixing all the burned wires.
Posted Image

Since its hot in Arizona I ordered a roll of tint and set out on the windows, did limo tint on all the windows I could untill I ran out of tint. This will save the blinds, reduce heat and add privacy, also looks very good on the outside.

Posted Image

Setting up to add in the large TV to the wall and planning the space.
Posted Image

Got the 62" set up on the wall with a versa mount, swivel tilt etc.
Posted Image
So next day set up a makeshift work table to fix and build stuff.

Posted Image

Since my moms house is getting all new cabinets, I took her old ones, this is all for my shop im going to build.

Posted Image

My dad and I stashed them in the little storage room for now, when time comes (soon) ill enclose my carport and build my shop, add in countertop space, shelving, cabinets, and work sinks.

Posted Image

My moms husband David brought me some shipping crates, my dad and I tore them down and I used the lids as part of the frame work of my entertainment center. 100% recycled wood right here.
Posted Image

Here we are, needs a bit of sanding and a coat of paint then it's done. Almost free, paint was $14 and the electricity to make it plus the tablespoon of wood glue was probably 3ยข

That shipping crate entertainment center looks way sturdier than anything you can buy.

I like your priorities. Always get the computer setup straightened out first. :thumb :D
