Thanks for posting the pictures first! I'm sure it wasn't the intention, but I got to scale the page down to half, look at the pictures, then refresh it and read the text full-size! :lol

What is the pole for? Does the carport roof not have enough support?
the idea was to have some sort of latch or fork gate latch to keep the gate from swinging when its on. and the pole is a good transition from wood fence to stucco house. I have not quite gotten that far yet :news I don't know if I want the gate to hinge from the pole or hinge from the 4x4 post in cement.

thanks linda :rocker as a technicality sarah is the primary owner but we are both into this so as a joint thing its ours we both working super hard to make this our home. its quite different than renting because I can spend money on the house and its not waste.

and I forgot to mention its close to my moms place because she has medical issues as many of you know so I am close to help her out

I'm tired from reading about it.

Think I'll go have a nice nap.

Not so fast

Thanks for the tour this morning! Me and the dogs had fun. Thanks for the bolts and the jack, too. Looks like a great little house. It's a huge project, for sure, but I know you and Sarah will get it done right.

Hey, I bet Tasi and Suzuki would like it if you finished the old man's pool. Is that on the list? :P

my dog had a great time playing with another young dog, doing so much around here we don't play but more than an hour a day so some stimulation was great thanks. while scratchpaddy was over he helped me lift the engine out of the back of the blue car AND he found my game saves on my back up hard drive for the Witcher 3 after the big windows 10 reboot I lost that game save so WOO thanks to him :rocker

here we have tile being ripped up, have a crow bar and a hammer so I set to work demolishing all the tile in the bathroom then setting into the hall way and down the hall I went hammering away and doin my thing. now something funny I have always noticed about my headphones is that when an extremely loud sound they cut out for some reason, its not how I move or jiggle the cord its only extreme volume of sound like my 40 oz framing hammer whacking a crow bar into tile loud. I have heard this cut out other times ive used my in ear buds for hearing protection before and noted the same thing and I don't know why they do that :dunno

I quickly ran out of trash can space the day it was empty because I'm throwing away tree branches boxes and packing things so I figured I would pile the tile in the bathroom #BIGDUMPS

Man, I feel for you. I hate ripping out tile! Shame you don't live in East Liverpool. I just dump my trash in the abandoned house next door! :lol

here is the main hall way the door behind the arch is the flooded bathroom where the water heater was.
I finished ripping up the tile and sarah helped me clean up the rubble, I am typing from my dust board, err I mean keyboard. what a dust ball it is in here, I accidentally left the room open and 3000 pounds of dust blew all over my computer and keyboard. it probably needs a good cleaning after all this is over get the air compressor out and go to town :)

here we have the master bathroom where I was stashing all the junk, I took the toilet out of the tub and busted it up real small to fit in the trash can I also loaded up about 3 food deep in the can with tiles, that's probably heavy enough for this week.

here is that room again with the heater. I cleaned up the seams on the wall removed all the nasty moldy stuff and cleaned it up with some bleach and a spray bottle.

here is the dirt tub again, I also cleaned up the sheet rock seams removed some rotted wood swept etc etc did the bleach treatment again. :thumb

so I fixed up the boards that were rotted out and beefed up the boards that were rotted to just a stub. I sure do hate that dirt in there. its messy and gets chunks all over where I'm trying to get good contact. I also used screws to fix all the repair wood to the old wood. dunno if that's correct but its better than what was there.

Posted Image

here is the water heater spot again, the wall is only 2 inches thick, and scraps of sheet rock were used to do something because I see scraps nailed in place all over :hmm

Posted Image

here we have a genuine nail blocker able to stop screws staples nails and even bullets from getting to your pipes located in the wood stud :deal this is the best way to do it, nail scraps of sheet rock over the pipe for protection B-)

here is some plants growing in the house and a bunch of spider webs with spiders. what a disaster this is, like who did this... house molestation. is this normal?

Posted Image

and last we have the cockroach condo, I started hammering into the wall and little nasty roaches went scurrying all over as I tore into this wall, I was getting the creeps bad so I grabbed the can of raid roach killer and held the trigger down spraying any thing that dared move, I had this utility room so hazy with roach kill spray fumes :stoner my eyes were burning but I didn't care It was a fight to the death 1 vs 10000 I was hammering I was spraying and demolishing the wall as roaches ran for the hills. when I get to that other side of the wall that bath tub is coming out and the sheet rock will fall. I'm not going to tolerate nasty little and large old young roaches in the house. no mold no roaches I will fix it all....eventually... :news
