pistons usually melt from severe over heating or running lean. Does the coolant have a horrendous burnt smell to it?

I put the radio bezel back on Melody. It was intact on the rear seat floor area- but I am not sure why. I did replace the heat/cool blower panel- as the original was moderately broken, and I had a nice spare.

Replaced driver side headlight bucket, as I had a spare, and the original was floating- not attached at bottom as the mounts were broken on bottom.

Still looking for passenger headlight bucket.
radio works.
Had new keys cut- as two keys didn't work very well- they were very tight.
painted key tops to match exteriors of geos- so- a maroon key goes with Melody, a navy blue key goes to the
Comet, and a white keys goes to the Duke.

Easy key ring identification.

Bulge nuts sourced- tomorrow its time for an alignment- still need plastic parts/tires that Willr said we could have.

Installed passenger seat. It was sitting in the car- but its bolts were MIA- as the seat had been removed to facilitate an interstate move- and packing. I went to my spare parts bin, and found 5 bolts for the seat. Glad I had 5.

License plates off- discovered that the rear bumper must be either repaired/replaced. The rear license plate illuminating lights housing is broken, and the lights are simply taped in, looks like clear packing tape. Will have to fix that to pass safety.

Odd thing- I went for the safety/ but changed my mind.
I usually get them just down the road- but- it didn't feel right.
Got out- felt hubs- turned around and went home.
New front bearings ordered.

Good thing you listened to that little voice telling you something was amiss.

so- I have driven it a total of 50 miles- until I get the bearings- it will go nowhere.
On the look-out for a decent drivers side front fender in the same maroon color. All others are decent- but this one is very rusted- If I didn't know better- I'd say it isn't original to the car- but a replacement.

Still need to take rear drivers side door apart and fix exterior door handle.
