Good evening gents. I have a '95 Metro with the 1.3 L and automatic transmission that I am using as a demo vehicle for my car audio company. The car is in fantastic shape mechanically but had pretty bad cancer in the rear fender wells so it made it a perfect candidate for the modifications needed to handle the few thousand pounds of car audio gear that's going in it. I'm also building a new dash for the vehicle and since it's strictly a demo vehicle that'll never be registered for on road use i'd like it to dispose of the gauge cluster and air bags. Does anyone know if the factory engine management system allow the vehicle to run properly without the factory gauge cluster and airbags in the vehicle? Also, though not for this section, is it normal for the transmission to only engage while running? I can't for the life of me get it our of park without the car running. Even with the ignition on and manually pulling the safety latch on the shifter. |

Thanks for the replies. Got pretty much everything out today except for the a/c evaporator coil. This car was hands down the easiest vehicle I've ever stripped. |
