I blew a brake line the other day and when I looked to find out where it blew at, this is what i found. What i don't understand is this blocks purpose, does it act like a cross over to keep equal pressure to both the back brakes or is it just a fancy holder for the lines. Is it ok to bypass it and just run hard line or do i need to keep this block? Thanks

Do not bypass it. Replace all the rusty brake lines and bleed out the system. Brakes are nothing to mess around with. |

I found it is easiest to remove the gas tank to repair those lines. It sounds like a hassle but the job is way easier in the long run. I would take the time and do all the brake lines at one time. |
