roblewis - Welcome to the forum! You can check the fuses yourself, simply pull them from the fuse block one by one - very likely there will be one that is burnt. You could even check the cover on the fuse block and narrow your choices down quite a bit on where to start. I assume by traficator you mean turn signals? |

Scroll down to Post #11 here: http://geometroforum.com/topic/2559772/1/ While that is for a 94, your 98 shouldn't be too different. If you don't already have one you should seriously consider purchasing a Factory Service Manual for you Metro. Not a Haynes, not a Chilton an actual Factory Service Manual, they commonly come up for sale on ebay. Good Luck! |

Does the radio work, just not light up? My whole backlight at night (headlights on) was out when I bought the car. PO had a book light positioned at the gauges... ![]() The radio worked, just didn't light up. I replaced the dimmer rheostat control knob on the driver's side, and it fixed the issue!

You will find the fuses in the junction block (or as we call it a fuse box), it is under the dash to the left of the steering column, above were you left foot would be. Check the dome fuse to make sure it is good. It is a 15 amp fuse. It will probably be good since it also powers other things too. I sent you a pm so check it out also.

I suspect your aftermarket radio is the problem, sounds as if it's wired wrong. Try turning the dashlights dimmer knob on the lower left part of the dashboard all the way each direction and see if anything changes. |
